FORENSICS - Congratulations to our WPHS Forensics Team at Cheyenne Mountain Dragon’s Backbone Tournament.

WINTER SPORTS - HS students, Winter Sports start Monday, Nov. 18th. Our Winter sports include:
Boys and Girls Basketball
Boys and Girls Wrestling
Girls Swim and Dive
Hockey
In order to participate in a Winter Sport, you must have the 3 following completed BEFORE the first day of practice.
1. Register on Rschool
2. Upload your physical on your registration (follow the step by step instructions on link)
3. Pay for your sport (can be done on your registration or can be brought to the Bookkeeper)
WPHS CHOIR DEPARTMENT - Three students were accepted into the Colorado High School All State Choir this year! Give a big congratulations to Eden Fuqua, Lilly Carver, and Cavan West!
THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE - November 21st -23rd @ 7:00 pm and November 24 @ 1:00 pm. Get your tickets here.
WYO TECH - an automotive trade school will be here Monday, November 18th. Sign up with the Google Form in Gradient.
WESTERN COLORADO UNIVERSITY - A rep will be here on Thursday, Novemeber 21st during advisory. If you are interested in attending the presentation, please fill out the form in Gradient or reach out to Mrs. Stone.
SEWING CLUB - Sewing Club will meet in Mrs. Rucker's room after school, from 3:45-4:45 every Tuesday that we have school until mid-March. See Mrs. Rucker for a form to fill out.
CHESS CLUB - Meets on Tuesday and Thursday during lunch in Mr. Sutton's room.
COOKING CLUB - Cooking Club will meet after school from 3:45-4:45. Choose one day or the other and learn new kitchen skills and recipes. These clubs will go on every week that we have school until Mid-March. See Mrs. Rucker or Mrs. Lambert for a form to fill out. Open to all middle school and high school students. Space is limited!
HIGH SCHOOL ESPORTS LEAGUE - Meets every Monday at lunch in Ms. Fergurson's room
THE SCHOOL TO WORK ALLIANCE PROGRAM is hosting Studio After Hours every Wednesday after school from 3:30 - 5:00. Come explore, create and make. Remember if you ride the bus, please make arrangements accordingly.
YEARBOOOKS
The yearbook is one of the main ways we highlight our seniors at WPHS! Students can submit senior photos, baby photos, and a senior quote. Parents can also purchase recognition ads to celebrate their senior. Here are some important dates to remember:
NOW: Yearbooks are at the lowest cost of the year! Order online at yearbookforever.com.
November 1: Yearbook price increases to $60.
December 6: Deadline to submit senior photos, baby photos, and quotes. Email ahemingson@wpsdk12.org or bring hard copies to Mrs. Hemingson’s room.
January 17: Deadline for families to submit recognition ads. Upload or design your ad at yearbookforever.com.
*Group ads are also available! Highlight your senior’s whole friend group, club, or team!
February 1: Yearbook price increases to $70.
SWAP STUDIO
Beginning October 9th, SWAP will open The Studio for after school hours. The Studio offers a makerspace for students to create and explore. This is where young entrepreneurs can experiment and develop ideas. This is a safe place where everyone is welcome. This time is open to all SWAP participants and other students who can't fit studio time in their regular school day. Studio After Hours will run from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm every Wednesday (weather permitting). If you plan to attend and ride the bus, you must arrange your own transportation. If you plan on participating in Studio After Hours, for any amount of time, you will need to complete this Google Form.https://forms.gle/HvAyttD3wkf7s9TH9
JOB CLUB
Job Club will meet twice a month in the Secondary Library from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm. We will have guest speakers and special presentations. Each month we will be addressing a different theme related to the world of work. Remember to arrange transportation if you ride the bus.
